Woodpecker Trade: Bespoke Trade Portal

The Starting Point

I worked with StationRd to build the main Woodpecker flooring website during the pandemic when there was a need to allow people to order online. Now Woodpecker wanted to launch a new range of trade flooring and needed a portal which would not transact, but would facilitate trade enquiries for samples and also provide information on minimum order quantities and fitting guides for the products.

The Work

I worked with StationRd who designed the portal to create a bespoke Laravel system that would facilitate trade login, ordering and order fulfilment.

The full scope of the project was:

• Build full suite of e-commerce front end screens, from product page to checkout page
• Back-end functionality for managing products, orders, customer accounts and pages of content
• Product Variant generator based on number of attributes
• Calculators to convert room size to pack quantity
• Live stock feeds
• Map integration to display retailer locations
